How to Set Up Bulk Intent Discounts in WooCommerce>
Bulk Discounts refer to a pricing strategy where customers receive a lower price when they buy products in larger quantities, encouraging higher-volume purchases. Now, with Disco – Dynamic Discount Plugin for WooCommerce, you can set up bulk discounts in just a couple of minutes.
For example, let’s set up a 5% bulk discount whenever customers order 3 or more units of any product from your WooCommerce store. Before we get to the main setup process, make sure to have the Disco plugin installed & Activated.
Creating WooCommerce Bulk Discounts using Disco
On the left side of your WordPress panel, you will find the ‘Disco’ Menu. Click on it and select “Create a Discount”.
It will take you to a fresh window where you can set up your discount campaign. Now, give your discount campaign a name and select the Discount Intention (Types) as ‘Bulk Discount’ as you want to offer bulk-based discounts.
After that, scroll down to the ‘Discount’ sections where you can set up various discount rules. You can choose to apply the discount to either all products or specific ones. In this example, we’ve selected ‘All products.’
But, if you prefer to apply the discount to specific products, select ‘Few Products,’ search for the desired items, and choose them accordingly.
After that, you get to add a maximum user limit(Pro Feature) and date validity as well.
- User Limit: This defines how many times the discount can be used. In our case, we’ve left it empty, but you can set a limit, such as 50 or 100 uses if needed.
- Valid Between: This specifies the duration of the discount. For instance, if you want the discount to run for 7 days, just enter your specific dates to set up the campaign’s date validity.
Then, comes the main section “Bulk Rules”. Here, you will be able to set up the product quantity and discount numbers. There, in the “Minimum Quantity” field put “3” as the customers have to order at least 3 units of a product from the store.
You can also add a “Maximum Quantity” if you want to set an upper limit on the number of units eligible for the discount. As you can see, we have left the Maximum Quantity empty( this means unlimited).
Then, in the Discount Type field select “Percentage” and input the value 5. Remember, you can also add a fixed, fixed per-cart item or free discounts.
After that, you can further customize your discounts by adding different conditions based on criteria like price, ID, title, and additional attributes (Optional). For this example, we didn’t have to add any kind of user conditions.
Once, you are done with setting up bulk discount rules, click on the “Save & Exit” button to launch your campaign.
As you can see, the discount campaign is active and running.
Now, whenever customers order 3 or more units of any product, they will get a bulk discount of 5%.
The above picture shows that when a customer ordered 3 units of a water bottle, he got a 5% bulk discount.
