This Cookie Policy explains how WebAppick uses cookies and similar technologies on this website, what each one is for, and how you can control them. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy, which describes how we handle personal information more generally.
WHAT COOKIES ARE:
A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store on your device. It lets the site remember things between page loads and between visits — that you are signed in, what is in your cart, or which pages you have already seen.
We also use technologies that work like cookies but store data in other ways, including local storage and session storage in your browser, and small tracking pixels inside pages and emails. Everything said about cookies here applies to those as well.
Cookies set by this site are called first-party cookies. Cookies set by a service we load into a page — a form protection service, an analytics service — are third-party cookies, and those services control them.
HOW WE USE COOKIES:
We use cookies for four purposes, and nothing else.
- Strictly necessary. Signing in, keeping a shopping cart, completing checkout, and protecting forms from abuse. The site cannot work without these.
- Functional. Remembering preferences, such as settings you chose in your account area.
- Analytics. Understanding which pages are used, where visitors get stuck, and what to fix next.
- Marketing. Measuring whether our campaigns reach people who find our plugins useful.
We do not sell the information cookies collect.
COOKIES WE SET:
These are first-party cookies, set by this website. Lifetimes are the maximum the cookie is kept for; a session cookie is deleted when you close your browser.
Strictly necessary
| Cookie | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|
| woocommerce_cart_hash | Tells the site the contents of your cart have changed, so the cart total shown is current. | Session |
| woocommerce_items_in_cart | Tells the site whether your cart has anything in it. | Session |
| wp_woocommerce_session_* | Holds a unique code for your cart and order so it can be found in our database. | 2 days |
| wordpress_*, wordpress_sec_* | Keeps you signed in to your account and secures the session. | Session, or 14 days with “remember me” |
| wordpress_test_cookie | Checks once whether your browser accepts cookies at all. | Session |
Functional
| Cookie | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|
| wp-settings-* | Remembers display preferences inside your account area. | 1 year |
| woocommerce_recently_viewed | Remembers products you have looked at, so we can show them again. | Session |
| comment_author_* | Fills in your name, email and website next time you comment on our blog. | 1 year |
THIRD-PARTY COOKIES:
Some pages load services run by other companies. Those companies set their own cookies and act as independent controllers of what they collect, under their own privacy policies.
| Service | What it does | Typical cookies |
|---|---|---|
| Microsoft Clarity | Analytics. Shows us how pages are used and where people get stuck, so we can fix the confusing parts. | _clck, _clsk, CLID, MUID |
| Google reCAPTCHA | Security. Tells real visitors apart from bots on our forms. Necessary — without it our forms are spammed. | _GRECAPTCHA |
| OptinMonster | Functional. Decides whether you have already seen a newsletter or offer message, so you are not shown it repeatedly. | om* cookies and local storage |
| Cloudflare | Security and delivery. Filters malicious traffic and serves the site quickly worldwide. Necessary. | __cf_bm, cf_clearance, _cfuvid |
| Google Analytics and Google Ads | Analytics and marketing. Measures how visitors find us and whether our campaigns work. | _ga, _ga_*, _gid, IDE |
| Meta and X | Marketing. Measures campaign performance and lets embedded content work. | _fbp, fr, personalization_id |
| YouTube | Functional. Plays embedded videos where we use them. | VISITOR_INFO1_LIVE, YSC |
Cookie names and lifetimes for third-party services are set by those services and can change without notice to us. The list above describes what each service is used for on this site; for exact details, read that company’s own cookie and privacy documentation.
MANAGING COOKIES:
You are in control of cookies on your own device, and you can change your mind at any time.
- In your browser. Every major browser lets you see the cookies a site has set, delete them, block third-party cookies, or block cookies entirely. Look under Settings, then Privacy. Doing this affects every site, not only ours.
- Private browsing. An incognito or private window discards cookies when you close it.
- Opting out of analytics and advertising. Google provides a browser add-on that opts you out of Google Analytics across all sites, and advertising preferences can be changed in your Google and Meta account settings.
Blocking strictly necessary cookies will break parts of this site: you will not be able to stay signed in, keep a cart, or complete a purchase. Blocking analytics and marketing cookies does not affect how the site works for you.
DO NOT TRACK AND GLOBAL PRIVACY CONTROL:
Browsers can send a “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control signal. There is still no agreed standard for what a site must do when it receives one, so we do not currently change our behaviour based on these signals. You can control cookies directly using the methods above, which is the more reliable route.
CHANGES TO THIS POLICY:
We update this policy when the services we use change. The effective date shown on this page is the date it was last updated. Where a change materially affects how we use cookies, we will make that clear on the page rather than changing it quietly.
CONTACT US:
If you have a question about how this site uses cookies, or you would like us to explain anything above in more detail, email us at [email protected] and a real person will reply.
